The game called Fortnite is now available for Android. This one was previously available outside the Google Play Store as a direct download from the official website of the developer of Fortnite called Epic Games.
Before installing Fortnite on your Android, please make sure your smartphone or tablet meets or exceeds the following hardware or software system requirements:
- Android 8.0 or higher
- 3GB of free onboard storage
- At least 4GB of system RAM
- GPU requirements: Qualcomm Adreno 530 or higher, ARM Mali-G71 MP20, ARM Mali-G72 MP12 or higher
If your device meets or exceeds those specs, you are able to play Fortnite for Android. Aside from that, there are a number of smartphones allow the game for Android to run at a blazing 60FPS. After checking your phone, it is time for you to download and install Fortnite on your Android. There are a few ways to do it. Here are the methods that you can try.
- Download and install Fortnite for Android via Google Play Store
Most Android based phones and tables have the Google Play Store installed. If you want to get Fortnite, you can just search for the game inside the Google Play Store and then when you find it, just tap on the Install button. Please take note to not to search for the Epic Games app in the Google Play Store to get Fortnite. For your information, the developer has still elected not to release that app for Google Play.

If you want, you are still able to get the Fortnite installer for Android via the Epic Games app. You will need to download and install it on your smartphone first and then download and install it for Android. Since the app is not on the Google Play Store, find the way to get it.

Now you will actually download and install Fortnite for Android from the Epic Games app. First of all, tap on the newly installed Epic Games app icon on your phone. You should see a big banner for the game, along with the only other Epic Games Android game known as Battle Breakers. Please tap on the Fortnite banner. When you see something pop up asking you to install the game, you need to tap on the Install button. By doing it, you should see the button turns into a progress bar as the app downloads and installs Fortnite. In the end, the app will show you two buttons: one to uninstall and one to launch Fortnite. Please tap on the Launch one.
