Fortnite Weekly Challenges add more mayhem to unlock on Week 8. All the chance are if you have not managed to snag a code for the Valorant closed beta or snagged an early copy of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake, you are still grinding away at these Fortnite challenges. With the secret agent dominating this chapter of season two, the challenge related to Kingsman umbrella makes perfect sense.
The Kingsman umbrella is known as a Legendary item that is able to be found in chests and hidden where you are able to find loot all around the map. Based off of the weapon in the graphic novel and movie, this one blocks the bullets and is able to be used to collect resources. In the first and the second movie, the umbrella was used sparingly and for bar fight flair. In the games of Fortnite, it is able to be used to protect you from damage or gracefully glide down from high vantage points. It is an amazing item for those who are looking to just build to the content of the heart while still having some defense.
Once you have successfully procured yourself a Kingman weapon, you will have to block 200 damage with the Kingsman umbrella in order to complete this challenge. Once you have the weapon equipped, you are able to hold down the right button on your mouse or the sights button on your console controller. Please make sure to aim the umbrella in front of you when you play because it cannot protect your backside. You will realize the umbrella is soaking up damage when it begins to show a red tint on the inside.
For the Chapter 2 Skye’s Adventure Challenges, you will have to complete all 18 in order to unlock the secret mission of Skye. Completing the last challenge will award you the Ghost or Shadow Style of the Skye skin. For every completionist who is looking to fill out their collection, getting this extra style is a must.
The Kingsman umbrella has nothing to do with the movie or the franchise, but it is still fun to see this bit of fan service tied to the theme of the agent. With the looney shenanigans of Deadpool and an invulnerable umbrella in the game, Fortnite is starting to get back to its wacky center. In the earth that is full of grim and dark shooters, it is still good to see one that does not take itself seriously.
As stated before, blocking damage with a Kingsman is one a part of the second week of Skye’s Adventure. Aside from this one, the rest of this week’s challenges include searching chests at landmarks, eliminating players with SMGs from within 15 meters, hitting 5 consecutive weak points while harvesting materials, flying a Choppa under the purple, red and blue steel bridges, stroking a Campfire, consuming a Foraged Apple, and consuming a Foraged Mushroom, landing at the Shark and visiting The Agency in the same match, and so on.
