With the release of the new update called v6.10, Epic Games is excited to introduce the Fortnite tournament that will be located in the new Events section of the Fortnite Battle Royale. It means, you are able to entering the Fortnite tournament by finding the Event section of Fortnite Battle Royale.
Fortnite tournaments are available to everyone and provide a chance for every player to compete directly alongside the professionals for pizes and glory. Please take a note that all players must opt-in for crossplay to join in competitive events.
Each Fortnite tournament has a series of scheduled dates and times during which the event will be run. Each of them scheduled sessions is a completely clean slate, all players will start the same score and compete over some hours of intense competition in order to gain as many points as possible. the players are able to earn points by achieving high placements or eliminating multiple opponents.
Apparently, matchmaking during a Fortnite tournament session will pair players with similar point standings, so for those who are playing well within the session you will find yourself matched with the stronger opponents. In case you are struggling, you should find an easier time the longer the session goes on.
All Fortnite tournaments will feature a target score to strive towards, reaching this score will grant you with a shiny pin as the celebration of your accomplishment. In the future, gaining a pin may advance you to the next round of a tournament of qualify you to win prizes.
Usually, the Fortnite tournaments will be scheduled in Na, EU, BR, ASIA, and OCE regions. Actually, the scheduled times will vary by region, so please check out the tournament inside the client for details.
The first one is Alpha Tournament (Solo). This one is usually be held on October 16 to October 21. You can participate in the first in game tournament, spanning across some days of daily competition. The second one is Beta Tournament (Duo). This one is usually be held on October 23 to October 25. Please grab a friend and take on the world until you are the last two left. The third one is Friday Night Fortnite (Squad). This one is usually be held on October 19 to November 30. The fifth one is Tomato Temple Cup (Duo). This one is usually be held on October 28 to November 1. You can become legends of the Tomato Temple Cup.
