Last year, Epic Games announced a scheme that would allow you to refund skins in Fortnite and all platforms. It means players on PC, Mac, Play Station 4, and Xbox are able to all take part in the plan.
You are able to refund cosmetics in exchange for V-Bucks, meaning you are able to recycle any skins, emotes or gliders that you no longer want can. Please keep in mind that there are some limitations of refund.
Here is an overview of how the refund process works in Fortnite Battle Royale.
- You are able to return up to 3 cosmetic purchases for V-Bucks in a lifetime.
- Once you have returned 3 cosmetic items, you will not be eligible for any more refunds.
- You are able to only refund purchases within 30 days.
- If the item you have refunded is not in the Item Shop, you cannot buy it again until it returns.
- You will be able to find the Self Service Cosmetic Returns process in the Purchase History section of the Item Shop.
You are able to request a refund for the following item categories:
- Skins
- Emotes
- Gliders
- Back Bling
- Harvesting Tools
You are not able to request a refund for any of these items:
- Battle Pass
- Battle Pass Tiers
- Starter Pack
- Founder’s Pack
- Founder’s Pack Upgrades
- Loot Llamas (Fortnite Save the World)
- Event and Weekly items (Fortnite Save the World)
Then, how to refund a skin on Fortnite for Play Station 4? First, go to the Settings menu at the top right of the screen. second, click the far right tab. This one will take you to an Account and Content page. third, you will see an Unintentional Purchases section. Please click Submit a Request. Fourth, you will go to another screen that will show what cosmetic items are eligible for a refund. Fifth, highlight the cosmetic you want to refund on the left hand side of the screen and choose it to confirm. Sixth, you have to give a reason. The options are Accidental, Unauthorized purchase, or an Item Not as Expected situation. Seventh, choose the option that applies to you and confirm Submit Return Request to claim your refund. Eighth, you will be prompted one last time to confirm your refund. Please click confirm to claim your refund. Ninth, once claimed, the V-Bucks spent on that cosmetic will be added back into your Fortnite account. If you want to check it, you can just simply look at the top right of your screen. In the end, you should see your V-Bucks total has increased.
