Nevertheless, there are times when you may accidentally purchase something you did not want, or you just get a serious case of remorse of buyer.

Epic Games now offers a refund system in the game called Fortnite so you are able to get your V-Bucks back, but there are a few of big caveats. The first thing is that only purchases from the last 30 days are eligible. The second thing is that you only get three lifetime requests so please use them wisely.

Aside from that, it is also not that obvious how you go about requesting refunds. Apparently, the location for the refund request option will be the same on Xbox, Play Station 4 or PC, but the controls are here specific to the Xbox One.

The first thing that you have to do is to press the menu button on your Xbox One controller. Then, navigate to and select the settings cog. Once you are in the settings, press the RB button five times to navigate to the tab that looks like an icon of a little person. The next thing that you have to do is to select request a friend and select your item from the list of those eligible for refunds. After that, select your reason for wanting a refund. The last thing that you have to do is to confirm your request.

Do not forget that you only get three lifetime Fortnite refunds, please so make sure you are willing to use one on your request. Aside from that, the refunds also cannot be applied to items like the Battle Pass or Battle Pass tiers, only items such as skins, emotes, pickaxes, and such.

  • You are able to return up to 3 cosmetic purchases for V-Bucks in a lifetime.
  • Once you have returned 3 cosmetic items, you will not be eligible for any more refunds.
  • You are able to only refund purchases within 30 days.
  • If the item you have refunded is not in the Item Shop, you cannot buy it again until it returns.
  • You will be able to find the Self Service Cosmetic Returns process in the Purchase History section of the Item Shop.

  • Battle Pass
  • Battle Pass Tiers
  • Starter Pack
  • Founder’s Pack

  • Loot Llamas (Fortnite Save the World)
  • Event and Weekly items (Fortnite Save the World)
