In the Fortnite world, Gifting refers to the system that allows you to purchase in-game content with V-Bucks and send them into your friends. You are allowed to gift using only some platforms such as Android, PC, PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One.
The players of Xbox One and some other platforms are able to gift items in Fortnite Battle Royale again starting from February 14. For the limited time only, they will be able to benefit of the Gifting feature, with 2FA necessary to use it.
Two-Step Verification or 2FA (Tto-Factor Authentication) helps protect he players by making it more difficult for someone else to sign in to your Xbox One account. This one uses two different forms of identity. The first one is the password and the second one is the contact method. Even if someone else finds your password, they will be stopped if they do not have access to the other devices or accounts.
Basically, you set up two-step verification with the email address, phone number or authentication app. when you sign in on the new device or from the new location, you will receive the security code in order to enter on the sign-in page. if you turn on two-step verification, you will get the security code to your email, phone, or authenticator app each time you sign in on the device that is not trusted. When this one is turned off, you will only need to verify the identity with security codes periodically, when there might be a risk to the account security.
In order to turn on 2FA for Xbox One, the first thing that you have to do is to log into Xbox One with your Microsoft account as you usually would. Then, go to the Security Settings page. Under two-step verification, choose Set up two-step verification as the option in order to turn in on. By doing that step, you are almost done. In case you want to disable Two-Factor Authentication or 2FA for Xbox One, you are able to do it by following these steps. First, visit the ACCOUNT page. Do not forget that if you are not already signed in, you will be prompted to do so. Second, select the tab Password & Security. Third, select the DISABLE button related to the 2FA method that you enabled: DISABLE AUTHENTICATOR APP or DISABLE EMAIL AUTHENTICATION.
Talking about Gifting, there are a few things that you are not able to gift. Those are V-Bucks, real money offers, items that are not currently in the item shop, items that are already in the locker, and some store items such as Battle Pass Tier Bundles.
