One of the missions in the Fortnite TNTina challenges is that you have to sidegrade weapons at various upgrade bench locations. Do you know how to do that? To make you easier in completing this mission, we provide you a guide to do it.
Actually, you are able to find upgrade benches scattered all over the Fortnite island. There are over 20 locations that you are able to visit to be able to complete this challenge in Chapter 2 Season 2 Week 3. First, let’s find out what sidegrading is. For your information, Fortnite has introduced Sidegrading on January 15th, 2020 to the 11.40 update. Sidegrading and upgrading weapon are different. If you upgrade a weapon, you will bump it up to the next rarity. But, if you sidegrade a weapon, you will modify the gun and does not change its rarity. For now, the only weapon which is able to be sidegraded in Fortnite is the Assault Rifle.
If you want to sidegrade your weapon, you must have a little bit of each building material. If you want to be able to finish this challenge quickly, you must sidegrade low rarity rifle since it will not require as much material as a blue or purple weapon. For instance, a green rifle is able to be sidegraded for 20 of each material.
You are able to use a Fortnite weapon upgrade bench to be able to sidegrade a weapon. It means that you will convert a standard assault rifle to a heavy assault rifle or it can be vice versa. As mentioned earlier that it is not like the upgrading process. The cost that you need to do this is a minimal 20 of each building material. To be able to complete the challenge, you need to repeat the operation three times. You are able to use the similar upgrade workbench several times.
